Press Secretary
Ty Pinkins for U.S. Senate is hiring an experienced Press Secretary. This position handles the campaign's outreach to national and local media, manages those relationships, identifies opportunities, and guides the campaign communications team. The Press Secretary will help the campaign develop and implement aggressive media strategies, prepare surrogates and leadership for interviews, write press releases, and prepare talking points. Our ideal applicant will have on-the-record experience in a previous position and at least two years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities:

Assist the communications director in day-to-day press responsibilities and rapid response;

Develop relationships with press outlets and reporters;

Manage surrogates throughout Mississippi;

Organize, pitch, and execute earned media events targeted at media outlets;

Write press releases, op-eds, and social media posts
Qualifications:

Experience with media, public relations, or journalism;

Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
