Communications Director
Ty Pinkins for U.S. Senate is hiring an experienced Communications Director. This position will help develop and execute the campaign’s earned media strategy, supervise the communications team, and manage relationships with local and national press.
The Communications Director will work across departments to drive an aggressive earned media strategy in a demanding media environment and take a leadership role on the communications team. Responsibilities:

Manage the communications team;

Develop communications strategies;

Oversee execution of principal travel and short-term communications plans;

Manage day-to-day press responsibilities and rapid response in collaboration with press secretary;

Execute earned media events, coach surrogates, and seek out news opportunities that are in line with long-term communications plans
Qualifications:
-
Experience in media or public relations;

Campaign, advocacy, or government experience preferred;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail;

Ability to multitask and manage both short-and long-term priorities;

Leadership qualities and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting
