Ty Pinkins is truly a "son of the Mississippi Delta," born and raised in the small town of Rolling Fork. He is a retired Army Officer who served 21 years in the military—including three combat tours. He is the co-founder and President of the Pyramid Project which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing youth from underserved communities to the social, cultural, and economic capital necessary for them to fulfill their dreams. He earned his J.D. (Juris Doctor) and his LL.M. (Master of Laws) from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Ty is loving husband of his wife Sabrina J. Curtis and is proud father of his two children, Joseph and Rukiya.
